The elephant in the room

I admit that negative thoughts still creep in my head and like an elephant in the room, I the more I ignore it, the more I think about it.  Everyone has their own share of inadequacies, insecurities. failures, rejections. It is traumatizing to hear the words that you are not good enough, I don’t like you, I don’t love you anymore.

Sometimes, no matter how hard you try, there are always someone that will belittle your efforts.  While you did everything you can, it seems to be never enough. They blame you for things that happen as if it is all your fault. They criticize, judge, discourage and make your life miserable. These people seem to suck all the life out of you.

Whether we like it or not, there are people that will try to push our limits. Sometimes, we are not strong enough and give in. While we want to retaliate and want them to get hurt, in the end , we are the ones who get broken.

I realize that the more I try to be liked and to please everyone, it always backfires. While we can’t control others behavior towards us, we can forgive them and pray for them. We are all made in God’s image. God make no mistakes. The negativity should stop before it begins…in our thoughts.

I agree. Sometimes no matter how hard you try the negative thoughts creep in and take over, and they rob us of the happiness of the present moment.

It is frustrating how we get caught off guard in the moment, in this times, patience is indeed a virtue. I believe that God is fighting our battles for us.
